It seems to me like the contrast modulation is fooling you. Get rid of those boards if you just intend to stack and not to blend.

Not sure if his sets are fitted with those, i remember talking about them with Phil and he didnt seem to think they were. Pull the tray out and have a gander, its easy to see it there, itll be where the camera module sits.

What's strange is it just happened after I change the splitter.
I dunno if related however , it also started after I swapped over from one dvi out to the other, my video card on pc is duel.

Youd be using the RGB out wouldnt you? Those DVIs are dual purpose sockets.
Seems wierd the splitter would cause it, might be worth pulling a known good splitter from another 909 there and trying that, could be coincidence.

Yeah but to rule it out altogether, and honestly i dont reckon thats the issue. Swap the whole tray from under the tubes and see if that fixes it.

Well it seems I put the pj into permanent boost mode previously, by putting it back to normal the problem seems to have gone

Ok just an update
Got both pjs Red and Green C elements installed ( thanks Curt ) Both pjs on floor in correct position ready to go up. Screen is here and installed on wall with speakers behind, bulkhead made and wrapped in black velvet with led lights on pelmet (pics to come)
Just a problem with the blue tube on one of pjs, what I thought was an unusual wear pattern turned out to be something in the electronics and not on the tube, it's weird, when I ramp the focus up and down, the strange colouration moves over the screen in various spots, any ideas?
Dave

Happy new year Dave
Yes, the astig and focus need to be done on the blue tube.

Happy new year to all
So focus and astig ya reckon ey?
Can't be that simple surely, it looks like huge blobs moving all around the screen when focusing.

Huge blobs? Can you show a pic?
If the astig is out, the focus will be uneven, and with uneven focus, the brightness will move around unevenly as you adjust the focus up and down.
