I have been reading a lot about the Vision One/Marquee and it appears that the foam around the lenses serves as part of the cooling. I finally had a chance to take my Vision One hood off and there was no foam around the lenses. Is this not needed on the Vidikron? If it is needed, where can I get some foam?

Mine had it with the marquee panels but the vidikron fiberglass case does not
I have the foam for a marquee 9500lc if you think it will work(don't need it now)

I think the foam is just there to keep the dust particles out.

I've never seen a Vision 1 with foam.

I guess I won't worry about it, then. Is it bad to run these with out the covers on? I want to do an extended test before sending the boards to draganm. Do I need to put the vision case back on to do that?

Nope, the covers don't really direct air flow, so you're fine.

Ok, The unit is in the garage, I'm going to hook up a Blu-ray to it and let it run a few hours. Anything I need to double check, or be weary of?

Bleed the tubes! Mandatory for any Marquee.
