Hi my Vidikron Vision 1 just arrived from Curt and I have some questions and thing to say about it.

First. I have the fanmod on the LVPS and man it is very quiet now. I had not expected it to be this quiet. I have to compare a little longer but it might be even quieter than the Cine Max I also have.

But my question is the scheimpflug looks completely different from the pictures in the setup tips. Do I use the screws on top for scheimpflug?

Also it seems the astig magnets could be upgraded to 6-pole that I have laying around here.

Further more just some pictures. I have a complete set of 2008 spares too including nice neckboard houses with fans.

But so far very quiet and a lot of light. The lenses are GT17 without a scratch. I still need a red c-element and I do think the bellows are sweating a little. So there is some work in that area but I can see zero wear on the 1000 hours tubes.

The VIM and neckboards have Mike Parker mods. Will be fun to compare them to the stock 2008 boards.

I dont think the new neckboards will fit direct on the LCP tubes, dont worry about cooling on the neckboards, as long as you keep the plast boxes around the tubes closed.

If you have glycol sweatting, it should only be on the blue tube, if i understand right you got it with new VDC red and green tube.

You might like the ground strap mod to the back boards.

Lets see some pics of your VIM and neck boards with the MP mods, and the moome card.

No I made a very nice forum members deal with Curt but did not take the new tubes as they all where without visible wear.

Can I show these pictures is that ok with MP? There is black stuff so pictures will not show values. I removed the neckboard picture wil send it in pm to others with the MP mods. Removed the vim too. Only a picture of the Moome.

Ok, dont worry about the tubes, you might like to change glycol, and wash the belows very well, i have a blue tube i washed and fill new glycol a year ago, and it has not been swetting yet, and there is no sign of new fungus, ( it was very bad)

The MP boards are old ones, dont know them, but im sure they will do well.

I guess the biggest improvement for now will be a new moome card, unless that one is modified to, looks a bit like it.

The Moome has the 14 bit video dacs. Don't know if it has the MP filters. It was the last version before the 3d version.

Ok thanks! I was a little worried there Smile There is some stuff in the glycol at the bottum. Good idea to wash and clean. I will try that glycol Mike suggested if I can buy it.

There is no 3D card for Marquee, and that one is from before the MP mods became standard on the Marquee Moome card, i think there is more mods than just filters to do to that one, not sure, but might be some black level and PS filtering, not sure if thats the caps on that board is standard or addet later.

I guess those boards are from before 2010.

Try run it on your screen, im sure you quite fast will notice what it is the Marquee do to the image.

Lets have some 1:1 pics Wink

The only problem is if the C element is glued, and you rip the below. I had luck remove a glued C element, clean off the glue and install it without glue/ silicone. I think its needet to remove the C element to clean the chamber right, i used a toothbrush, and scrubbed it 10 times, every corner, even the fill holes was totaly clean after, it looks like it payed off.

Well maybe you should just play with it some time, and get tired of it, and sell it for ½ the price to me.. Wink

Make sure the spare neckboards is not the new style boards, You will need the ones with Motorola transistors to send to Mike.

Your Moome board looks very much like the newer model, i think its the same chips, just that the next board have some mods instaled, im quite sure mike can mod yours to perform the same as a new.

Im exited to hear what you think about the Marquee.

Is this an old style neckboard? Is it LUG? Does it have Motorolla transitors? Q1,Q21,Q14 are sure Motorolla. I see some other Motorolla parts.

In fact the MP neckboards have the number 2039-01p. So the 2008 boards have the number 2038-01p. On AVS tse says the only difference is the cutout.

They are perfect. Was just thinking it was the new type when they had the ventilator. And you told they were from 2008.

One of the transistors says MS549 and there is an APT mark on it. The others say MF549 with the Motorola mark. The MP neckboards have MF549 on the place of the MS549.

I could not find anything on MS549 but I guess it is a replacement that has the same performance? Anyone knows?

Ok beautifull design these neckboards no problem there even the caps are 105c already on this version.

But I could not find the exact information on the 'ground strap mod'. I think it has something to do with cooling the neckboard better? Do you have any more info or links?
