I thought it might be easier to keep track of all these 1 on 1 off pics from our Barco machines if theyre all in one place...

Here are some i just took, 1920x1080p at 60Hz HDMI to Harman/Kardon AVR to MOOME V3 EXT to PORT3 path:

They are oke.

It would be nice to also include pictures on lower resolution stating the used equipment, the pixel clock and peaking setting.

Yeah do that too, i havent really got the time to do more right now, i only have that one input set up on the computer, when i have more time i with try some 1280x720 res as well.

My blue tube is abit buggered too, it wont go all the way black, internal issues there.

Those two pics are more to show sharpness rather than anything else, i havent really made any big effort to put it through a good signal path there.

yes it is incredible to see how good the focus and all is. The lines are resolved very well.

I will add some new shots here soon. I have no clue what pixel clock I used on the old ones. It is easier to make some new.

Its incredibly sharp for text viewing yes, i have never had issues getting good sharpness, but convergence tends to let it down abit in some areas, i completely redid the mechanical astig yesterday and then redid the electronic astig, it was all pretty accurate to start with, not sure if i could get it any better on that front.

Pretty sharp.

Vertical 1:1 shows BW limitation. Overall pattern brightness should be similar that horizontal pattern have.
Not sure if that is caused by too much peaking in circuit (there is probably also hardware peaking components in circuit) or just too low BW.

Higher BW and less peaking helped in my BG1200 to same problem.

Maybe you can compensate using oval spot shape. Wink

Also something pedestal related seem to happen after full contrast chance, decreased gray level after white horizontal bar and elevated gray level after black. I guess similar "mini streaking" happen in all crt projectors at some level and sharper ones show it better.

I have also seen Case's one on one pictures with a vga card and long rg6 cables and they are much better in bandwidth. I think that even having long rg6 might be better that short because it becomes a genuine transmission line. The above pictures show that the Moome external is really limiting the bandwidth.

Thanks for the info on the pedestrals. Did not know that.

Yes its the MOOME V3 that holds it back, not sure what effect the Harman/Kardon AVR will have either, but id say not too much because previous tests i have done without that in there.

I will have to do one with the RGB again in port 5 soon, i havent got it connected to the PC at the moment.

I think you might have the right remark for why the video mods add something in the case of Francisco. He made the port 3 transistor equal to the port 5. I think that is the most important step. It explains why we never saw a 1080p resolved because we used internal port 3 hdmi or the moome/hdfury external and all three ways don't work. (This is apart from the mods lowering the noise)

Seems like the 909 is capable to resolving 1080p@60 with the right input on port 5.

I have to add that I tried a vga adapter that was less good. A crab vga card that was even worse and a geforce 9300 that did not want to sync. So I guess Casey has the right top Geforce video cards and produced these pictures more than once.

Now I do wonder how the new Moome hdmi will look on port 3 with only the transistors changed.

But I am going to fast. we should wait if Casey finds the time to test port 3. It would give a lot of information if I am right.

Look at the differences between port 5 G_IN and port 3 G_2RGB. Port 3 has as only difference the BFS17(1GHz) and port 5 has the BFR92A (5GHz). After that and before that they are the same.
