When I start the projector the blue gun will be out of alignment and waver a bit. It seems that after things warm up then it snaps back into alignment. But lately about 45-60 minutes into watching it will intermittently go out of alignment and then correct itself. Does anyone know why that is happening? Could a video board be getting ready to go? I'm actually surprised that nothing has happened to this projector before now as it is over 20 years old with only a little over 1800 hours. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Hello
Is blue going out of alignment sideways or vertically? Is it the edges or the entire blue frame?

Bad vertical board. I've seen this many times before. I can repair yours or sell you a working one. Email me at curtpalme at shaw.ca please.

Thanx for the reply Tim and Curt. The shift is the entire frame horizontally to the right. Right now my Oppo is in screen saver mode and the the O in Oppo on the Blue image aligns with the first p in Oppo on the main image. If it is a specific board how hard is it to remove and replace. I am fairly handy with tools. OTOH, if its pricey to get a good board I am reluctant to put money into a projector i'm saving money to replace with something newer. It throws a descent picture with the Moome card but its not 1080p as the best this pj can do is 1080i and the image is not so bright. Thoughts?
Thanx,
Tim

Thanx Curt for getting the video board to me. Got it installed and it worked as advertised. Just some slight tweeking and it looks good. Now I don't have to wait and hope the blue syncs properly anymore.
Best,
Tim
