Never used it but they seem to make Black Diamond in 3 different gains: 2.7, 1.4, and 0.8. The only one I'd consider for CRT would be 1.4, and maybe 2.7 if you wanted a big screen / more light.

0.8 gain would be too dark.

I need to get a screen for a large, pretty bright room in my lab -- any updates on anyone who have seen these at a trade show or anything? the youtube videos make me think they might be cheaper than buying a light cannon to overcome the brightness in my lab's space.

Look at DNP, but they are expensive.
