Thank you! Allways scary because someone might say man look at that bandwidth! Terrible Very Happy The trick with the screenshots was to put the camera on a tripod and use 2 seconds shutter time or so. From comparing my full size pictures with the pro's I see they use a higher pixel camera. Mine is 8 MPix.

What was it on before you adjusted it? I adjusted mine just then, it was reading 18.78v with the 31.5kHz internal pattern up.

I set it to 17.26v with contrast at 75 and brightness at 50. Seems to have reduced the squealing that changes with the image brightness, but I didn't have a streaking issue like you pictured there before adjustment.

You have to adjust at contrast 50.

Put the BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST level in mid-position (refer to owner's manual).

Mine was at 16,3 V or so. When this voltage is to low you get horizontal black bars when lowering focus and raising contrast when you do the astig. Took me some time to figure that out.

Still there is something wrong with my smpts. I still have the streaking, it did not go away with this setting but I am able to hide it by using a 800p resolution with no black bars. The issue comes when the beamer concentrates its output after a black bar. Now I still see it very little when there is a very white thing in a dark picture. But it is not annoying this way.

If you have squealing with brightness than you might have a profit from a cap upgrade on the smpts. Mind that all connections are there again after resoldering some caps because sometimes the small metal cilinders come out of the board that hold the caps.

I had a squealing when the unit was in standby. Replacing those caps solved it. I think the whole picture gets better when all the caps are replaced.

How much did/does the voltage change between contrast 75 and contrast 50?

Don't know if it shows on these screenshots but I made a 48Hz resolution with no flicker at all, simple not visible. It looked sharper to my eyes much more background. Also these pictures use the internal Moome through port 3 on my switcher with high bandwidth buffer and Mike Parker boards that hold this resolution very nice. Not perfect but I don't think this resolution can be much improved on. The 1080p resolution is very bad though but that is largely because this Moome is not so good at 1080p. The VGA was clearly better but the same on lower resolutions. The video dac of this Moome has its -3db at 90MHz. I even tried bypassing the complete buffer but still bad.

I reckon i might redo mine all again tonight, i was pretty sure the technical data sheet i followed said set brightness and contrast at their default values and aim for 17v on the dot.

I have no idea but I found that the right voltage made the fans spin less fast. You can hear it as when you turn the pot the fan on the pfc changes speed.

I have a top right corner bend on red zone convergence which cannot be dialed out. It happened suddenly, what could the reason be?

I will send you a document that is better than the docs you send me. I think it is a newer service manual has the partlist too.

My fans are dead quiet anyway

No idea, but just move the image within the raster and then move the raster. Mine has always done that in the corners with red.

Perhaps do a reset on the motherboard losing all memory blocks?

Ok, setting with contrast at 50 or 75 appears to make 0.02v difference at most...

Makes me think why does it influence the 17,3 V at all? Must be that the HV section takes a current out of the 300 VM elco and perhaps the 300VM drops very little as you confirm. The 300 VM is primary to 17,3.

Ive never been able to get good corner focus on green at 1080p, but id say its due to using stock timings...

Has anyone got 720p@72 and 800p@48 or 817p@48 working good on a Moome? If so what timings do I need.

I havent used those on the Barco, but i used to use 1280x720 at 72Hz on the XG for 3D, but ended up going to 1366x768 at 72Hz instead.

Here are a couple I just took, from the PC HDMI to the Harman/Kardon AVR to the MOOME V3 EXT to PORT 3, 1920x1080p at 60Hz standard timings.

I have to be honest that if I am looking relaxed at the screen I do see some flicker on 48Hz but only after I switch from 60Hz. So I might stick to the factory 60Hz for now. Perhaps try the 1366x768 at 72Hz but than there is a little scaling. But is worth a try might set the scaling out so there are small black borders.
