Hey, so I bought a Harmony 650 remote hoping it would control all my components. It actually knows about my 9500 and allows me to set that up but it doesn't work right. I've since read on here that the Marquees use a higher frequency IR that the cheaper Harmony remotes don't support.

Does anyone know what the least expensive Harmony remote is that will work with my 9500? I'm open to suggestions of other brands as well, I just want to find something that I can use with all of my equipment and has the ability to learn custom codes. I was hoping to keep the cost under $100.

Thanks,
Brian

Say Brian

You want to find one that handles extended command strings. The Marquee power on command, and standby command, require 1 or 2 second
blasts.

Thanks Tim. The other commands like contrast, brightness, etc. don't seem to work either with this remote.

Right

The newer Marquees use a 336khz IR subcarrier.

Hello

I'm told the Phillips Pronto works well, TSU3000 among others

Thanks Tim. I'm trying to see if I can find a good, used Harmony One right now, looks like a good remote to use.

I found a Harmony One which I like, but it too doesn't work unless you point it at the receiver. So, I extended the wire on the IR receiver and put it with the rest of my AV equipment in a cabinet near the screen and that seems to work ok.
