Barco 808S 1208S 1209S video channels are known 180MHZ bandwidth with 909 identical, differing only in CRT socket difference. In fact, the transformation socket can get the same video bandwidth of 909 directly to obtain excellent focusing screen.
CRT socket difference is the use of IC S series socket is that the use of LC 80MHZ VPH08 nominal frequency compensation method is difficult to obtain a flat 120MHZ Bandwidth, 909socket model of IC is unknown and can not be purchased. My internal circuit transformation according VPH06 bandwidth constraints transistor, get 909 plate same bandwidth results.
This circuit is very common for CRT socket NEC PG EHome is the same, and the circuit is to replace higher bandwidth without changing the transistor. vph08 inside the IC is empty, just around the saw with a saw four complete separation 3MM depth can be obtained inside cover. I try to transform the IC is VPH25 18 15 VPA13, found inside the IC TR2 is different. TR2 of the pressure can not meet the needs of the input voltage 200V ic, VPH06 VPH08 withstand voltage of TR2 higher bandwidth is low. This effect is good enough

Some questions for knowledge: you have pulled VPH08 and replaced it with modified VPH06, is right?
But I see that you have removed two of the three big resistors (white) from PCB. Is right?

I had P16LNP's in my old Barco.
These were razor sharp witout any mods and 1080p looked great.

Yes, three big resistors (white), because 06.08 R4 using different values. VPH06 R4 is best to modify the built-in external 5W power resistors

Unfortunately have no shots of the old setup.
Additional to the P16 i used HD-145 with plates. It was a huge step up vs. HD-8.

Maybe the 2SA1407/2SC3601 pair would be also suitable for the purpose but they have more parasitic capacitance (which is bad), they seem a bit more widely available (on e-bay at least...)
