It looks like a Mitsubishi VS1281. It is a very interesting machine (7" LC with one of a kind dichroic lenses)! Is that for sale?

Very good possibility Gabor, or at least the same CRT projector family. Seller asks 450 euros - no details given. Only telephone...
Many rearprojectors have color filtered LC lenses, bun none of them are high resolution for sure.

450€ sounds a bit high to me, unfortunately not much reference about these projectors around, they usualy turn up as dead projectors, and so far there isn't a source for service manual, as old posted pictures suggest this is also a typical japanese build, with a load of various STK ic used in it. Forum member here 'hal' used to have one (actually two) and he said it is a "good" machine. Nashou also have a (dead) specimen. It uses P16 tubes.
Also the spec sheet suggest it has a single H scan range (2,5us retrace), that makes it uncomfortable with high scanrates >75kHz, about the same vintage as a NEC PG xtra I think.

Why canīt we have an obsession for small and light stuff. The more rare I find out that CRT beast is, the more I like the idea to adopt one. But not for 450!
The preferred scan rate of this CRT should fit itīs low bandwidth. But without a report from a modern day CRT user, it is hard to categorize these devices. They certainly have weak points compared to the CRT flag ships we use, but maybe Mitsubishi had their own attempts to certain properties of CRT projection. The did produce the biggest single tube CRT monitors I know of, exceeding 40". I own a 37" NEC xp37plus CRT monitor, and itīs size is monumental. So Mitsubishi clearly did have a fascinating foot in the door of CRT technology. I like!

Wait a monthg or two and offer 100€ Wink
I don't give too much on bandwidth specs of projectors, a NEC 6PG xtra only specified at 80MHz too, but resolves 1080p better than a Barco 909 which is specified at 180MHz.

It also has full digital convergence too.

You may laugh at it but I admire the PG xtra more than the XG, while the XG contain some improvements over the PG xtra I still think the PG xtra is easier to maintain up to its specs. Also the 6PG xtra may be probably the only projector that is fully meets its specifications, actually overcomes it. Too bad there wasn't an LC option.

You may be able to fit the LC brackets and housings into the XTRA, but id say theyll be too wide.

I wouldnt laugh at that, the PG XTRA is a remarkable machine, far more capable than most other 8" machines, and certainly beyond compare in the convergence and geometry area when compared to other 8" machines.

at least NEC didn't offer one, so one had to improvise.

Yeah I knew that, but that much machine work isn't exactly what I dreamed of, that's why I still think the 10PG xtra project is more feasible, and practically would not be worse than a 9" XG project.

I stumbled over it again and called the seller. Tubes seem to be 7", he said 490p14102m701 for the green.
I think they could be the same as in cine7 or so.
There wasn't more. The chassis is repainted, so no sticker there. Lenses don't have stickers, he said.
Regards, Julian
