Hi Guys,
This one is for the Barco Fans.
I started with CRT in 2005 with a Sony 1270. Not much later Barco G808s, Sony D50 and G70, back to Barco again with G808s Liquid Coupled, after that 1208s/2 LC 9" lenses.
Always had dreams about a Barco 909 Cine9 etc. One day these dreams come true, and I just bought 4x SEOS 919 split packs.
I will sell 2 units and will keep 2 for myself, one for back-up or maybe a blend if possible.

Is there any superlative to "YOU SUCK!!!"?
I can't come up with one right now. Sometimes it's noticeable that English isn't my mother language.
Francisco: From the ones You'd like to sell, does one have a decent set of tubes? I might be interested...

YOU SUCK, of course!
But I wonder if they have any special circuitry inside to make them impossible to setup in normal HT applications, however tubes still worth a fortune.

Awesome score. Did they cost real money, or did you get really lucky?

Nope they are not from Greece.
Tubes have light flightsim wear.
They are also 90c mounted, so better to install new for maximum performance for HT use. Also the lenses are short throw manakins for curved screens. Convergence can be done for flat screen there are no problems. On vertical board there's a Seos modification for vertical linearity. This board can easily be taken of as well as the COG and Digi blend 300. Actually Seos didn't changed that much to the original 909 split packs. Software is from SEOS off course but the controller board has the same number as from a plain 909, so maybe you can flash controller board with barco 909 software? Curt?

Do NOT NOT NOT flash the software! NEver ever ever ever mess with the controller board on a 909 unless it's already broken. Until I send Craig the defective boards I have, and he starts fixing them (my fault!!), they simply are not available. Both myself and Greg Eisemann have destroyed working controller boards when they froze 1/2 way through the firmware upload.
909 controller boards are like G90 Ya board were 6 years ago, far too expensive from the manufacturer, and not available used at this point. I did sell one a couple of years ago for $2000, if that gives you any idea of their value right now...

Good score!!!
I have mentioned it before, but I hated dealing with my 909s. It seemed like it was always one thing after another. I hope you have better luck than I did.

So congrats Francisco!
Could you give a throw distance number for the lenses. And, from the range of the center focus knob, how big do you think the screen can be, or probably your room is long enough to check this. And with a sheet of paper you can test how far the corner focus is outside the center focus on the screen - resulting in a ratio between screen widht and deepth.
Have fun
Marc

Ha ha!
I was waiting on Your message! I knew You would be interested in the manakin lenses...
Maybe we can make a deal with Francisco: If he sells one of the heads, I get the tubes and You get the lenses!

@Curt I will NOT NOT NOT Flash the software Among the spare parts which where included there are 2 defective controller boards, maybe we can arrange something to repair?
Also I have manuals of Front prodas 919 and split packs digital, maybe interesting to enclose it on your website to complete your database?
Other spares are extron splitters and amplifiers, even a grid projector with canon lens to align your projector on screen.
@Spanky Ham, I've had Sony's G70 etc. But I still prefer Barco's because of their boards trays, it's easy to trouble shoot if you have more than one unit. With sony's it's a bit more difficult. Also tubes will last longer in Barco's and they give you best PQ.
@Marc and Barclay66 I will send you PM. I already know Marc, and I knew he would be interested in the Manakins (lens Freak ) I will send you spec sheet of the manakins. Maybe I will post with pictures in "all about lenses"
Barclay66 the tubes have light Flightsim wear I don't know if you are ok with this, also they are 90c mounted.
Regards
Franciscus
