ill give it a try.. it had a rough trip, and i used 1 week to put it back together.. it spins the disc trying to focus.. and then make a error code... And i don't have the service manual.. Think its in japanese only..
But i would love one working, but the prices are just to crazy..
Maybe when i'm finish rebuilding my house.. And get my HT up running again..
Have these 2 MUSE discs.

Do I see a Pioneer Series 20 M-22?? Or is that the M-25 class A/B?? Those nice vintage metal fins and huge caps are noticable any day
And is the top champaigne component a Denon receiver?

Your right.. Its a Pioneer M22.
And on the top you see a Denon AVC A1D. it was the most easy thing to use for this.. It have AC3 Decoder built in.. And i actually think it sounds better than the newer Denon receivers..
Then there is the CLD 2950, and MSB LS2 Denon DVD 2900, and scalers Lumagen XS/ DVDO VP50.
Most of my gear is stored, and there is not to much space in the house. I'm rebuilding.
But my wife let me make a mess in a corner of our living room..
I flashed some of my old amps here..

I remember that thread and the discussions, I thought that you were the one with all the M-22s
I was going to take a pic of my LD setup as well today but apparently I need to actually hook the video cabling up to the video processor to watch it!
I never got around to that today, if I can make some time after turkey dinner with the family Ill be happy to post a pic
My LD Player is a Pioneer Elite DVL-90 (I think i mentioned that it was a DVL-91 earlier) not nearly as nice as some of the better LDs but it IMO is superior to the CLD-59 that I had previously.
Excellent LD PQ for being displayed on a flat panel stride

I too have a Pioneer HLD-X9 that is broken and would like to find parts, specifically a new tray.
Does anyone know where I can get the part or have a broken unit they would like to sell?
I also have an extra original remote control.

Then there is 2 of us. i need a new tray, and a new spindle motor, but the problem is that im still not sure it wil work.
So for now i just put it in a corner, if you find a place to buy parts ill love to hear about it.

I wonder if there might be a cross reference part number.

No idea, but i doubt like the muse player have much higher rpm, i looked the motors in some other pioneer players and they are not like the one in the X9.
So my best bet is the one from the X0, but no one will give that one up for free.. lol
