Greetings!

I am trying to use the MUX FHD with my Tivo recorder, and I am getting a pink color cast to the output when it is routed through the MUX. If I take it out of the chain, the output returns to its normal clear, correct state. I have power-cycled all the devices and I have swapped out cables, etc.

Is there a setting on the MUX or the Tivo I need to change?

Thanks, please advise.

On the remote with the MUX there are buttons labeled A B C D. these will change the color space for the output. try each one till the color is correct.

A is HDMI RGB
B is HDMI YCbCr444
C is YCbCr442
D is DVI RGB
MODE button should be the pass through

Try that one first as it will no do any conversion if your not sure which output your Tivo does.

I attached the data sheet for your unit.

Thank you. I am trying the settings. What is the easiest way to put it in bypass mode?

Seraphic: I can't respond to your PM because I don't have enough posts yet. My unit is white folded over a grey band for the ports.

Does that make a difference for some reason?

No problem, I was just wondering what your unit looked like.
Mine looks the same as your unit.

It was just that our units look nothing like the one shown in the VF01_v01.pdf.
So I was wondering if we had the older MUX-FHD or the new VF01?
Or maybe they are the same unit? I don't know...

Those controls I think worked for the unit before the VF01 as well. I have the previous data sheet for that with out the picture
of the unit. They are the same so I posted the latest version.

So I have the older Mux-FHD? I just ordered my unit a few days ago and it already arrived.
But when I opened the box I found it to look nothing like the one seen in the VF01_v01.pdf which gave me a bad feeling.

If you look at the newer datasheet, there are additional HDMI audio features. Like bit-streaming the newest DTS/Dolby.

there are at least 4 or 5 versions of the MUX-HD. I thinkt he VF01 and the MUX you have are one in the same.

Best way to find out is by the PCB version. Not sure if its marked on the case or not.

I'll upload the MUX FULLHD data sheet as well incase.

After looking at the Data sheets they are different. the latest VF01 has a few more HDMI audio formats I think and added a way to manualy select input color spaces beside the auto detect. Also I am not sure if the VF01 is not for sale yet . It is not on the Moome web site from what i can see. I have been in contact with moome about some issues with my Blend set up he sent me the latest data sheet. So I think I jumped the gun and let out some info before the product is ready. Embarassed

When searching for the PDF i selected the one in my first post.

I am not sure when the VF01 will be released or if he will add a buy button for it on his site.

Sorry for the confusion.

He also sent me the latest data sheet and said the Mux-FHD is now called VF01.
The manual they sent me in the e-mail for my order was mux_fhd_v10.pdf which looks to be the same as Mux FHD v101.pdf
So I think I have the older unit here...

Hmm, not sure then which unit you have . I guess you can try to use the buttons on the remote as listed in the VF01 data sheet that are not used int he previous MUX and see if they do anything. If they do then you have the new VF01.

Id try the Input buttons listed in the VF01 that change the color space to see if the image changes colors from having the wrong color space selected.

Nashou66, I just tried as you suggested and found that on the remote button number: 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 work.
In addition, the Return and Reset buttons seem to be working as well.

Do you have a Mux-FHD? If you hit any of the keys I listed above your remote, does the unit respond?
Maybe robroy90 could also try.

No I have an older version with no HDMI audio support. I do plan on getting a new version tho.

Glad my suggestions worked out in determining your unit.
