To close the loop:

The barn door hardware arrived today... package was a bit bashed up given that it's 8' long but everything was intact. The long pole wasn't bent or scratched up.

Everything looks reasonably well made and solid. The rollers appear to have bearings too which is nice. A special wrench can be used to loosen/tighten the roll.

The inside of the rollers is indeed black but it looks/feels like some sort of hard plastic or nylon. Not sure what it is. Not soft at all so hopefully won't have much of a 'memory' that causes the rollers to bump when rolled over time.

The 5 wall hangers include shims in case we need to come out farther to avoid a baseboard (if required).

These seem to be uber-popular... the seller said she sold 8 more today!

All in all I'm happy! $268 is better than $2200!

Nice!

Can't wait to see pics of it installed!

If you're getting drywall hung, you've gotta be getting close, Kal... What do you have, another month before you're moving furniture in?

Yup. Sounds about right. Tile and stone in the bathroom is done. I think the main wall paint colour has been picked too, likely Sherwin Williams SW7033 Brainstorm Bronze:

It's 3 tones darker than the rest of our house which is mostly Sherwin Williams SW7030 Anew Gray:

Tomorrow we're picking carpet.
Bar needs to be designed, wood and counter tops picked, bar tile picked, brewery tile and wall colour picked.
Fireplace wood surround too. Likely tie in the to bar.
HT ceiling wood relief figured out as well. Then screen wall fabric needs to be figured out. Not sure how that's going to work.

Hmm, more than I thought. Wink

Kal
to prevent flat spot, you could just move the door a little each day or week.
