I cant seem to get the image from being upside down. The small dipswitch ( v switch )moves fine and is in the correct position for ceiling monted front PJ. The swith that moves left to right ( h switch ) doesnt seem to move. If it is moving a switch under there I cant tell it. It only moves about 1/32 of an inch and doesnt seem to trip anything. Also what is "C" ?

T = Table, C = ceiling. The left right switch is a little hard to push.

The image is right side up but the letters are backward. I dont think I could move that switch with a hammer.

There is a cutout in the edge of the cover of those switches. The knob of the switch is more to 1 side of that cutout. You would have to push is towards the opposite side of the cutout. It has about the same resistance as a main breaker of a panel box.

Thanks Mac, That fixed it ! Although the settings are not correct according to the manual. The manual settings would suggest FRONT PROJECTION FLOOR. Its all good though ! THANKS !

OK so I moved the pj to the right to set the image on the screen a little tough but no big deal. Then I try to set the throw and move the pj forward and I cant make it budge. I put a tie down ratchet strap on it and cranked it up till it would not ratchet one more click. I even put a little grease inside the track and a light film on the outside track. I have pushed, pulled and even tried tapping the unistrut with a rubber mallet all to no avail. It all moved great before I hung the pj on it. I loosened the bolts a little to give it more slop. Nothing is working, what am I doing wrong ?

I have been thinking about this all night, trying everything I can think of. Somehow its in a bind, although I cant see it.
I am thinking of using longer bolts, twice as long, about 4 inches. Not sure if it will help but I am running out of options at this point.
Maybe if I can get it set I could put the shorter bolts back in. Heading to Lowes in the morning.

OK so I put longer bolts in and 4 hours later I got the throw close. Now I cant ger the LR to move. I looked and cant see any bind.
I have a surefire plan but theres one hitch, I cant figure out how to get my garden tractor in the basement or even in the hallway for that matter. I need to get this solved before Saturday. Anything ?

Garden tractor... You're funny.

Jeff, are you trying to slide the whole thing at once? That won't work! The unistrut hangers will bind if you try to push the projector with any weight on.

If you can't have a friend help you to take weight off the hangers before you try to slide them, what you need to do is lift a corner to take a bit of weight off, and move the hanger half an inch or an inch the direction you want to go. Then, go to to nearby corner and do the same. When you get to the other two corners and do the same, you'll have moved the whole thing half an inch or an inch. It'll be slow going if you have to go six inches, but like I said, unless you have a friend to help, there just isn't a fast way to "slide" the projector six inches by yourself.

How far do you need to slide it?

What's Saturday? Is Craig coming to set up?

It looks like I need to slide it about 6 inches to the right. I am having no luck alone. I didnt realize it wouldnt slide it sure looks like it should. It did, albeit not easily, yesterday. In any case THANKS for the info I will give it another shot in the morning. I am wore out now. I dont know for sure when Craig can make it yet, but saturday is a possibility and I want to be prepared just in case. Thanks for the info.

No problem. Twisted Evil

Seriously, you could also get a small resin hammer, and if you just took a little weight off the corner of the projector, you could probably just tap the hangers lightly and move them a bit.

When you're done, be sure to measure the hangers relative to the strut, or check the threaded rod for plumb to make sure you didn't create a bind. Ideally, when you're done, it should all be nice and neutral so it doesn't want to move over time.

No problem, LOL ! I caught that.
Thanks for that. I will make sure everything is straight. I was thinking about putting a couple of small C clamps on when I was done just in case my clumsy ass bumped it.
Thanks again.
