I just picked up the external box from someone on the forum (one of the older ones), and I realized that I'll have to get some new cables. I know Moome says that 30m with the hdmi cable is ok (to 720p), but how long a run with the analog cables? I have some rg59 cable I might be able to do something with, but it means a run of about 15-18 feet. That or I buy a longer hdmi cable (I have 10 feet now) and use a shorter run of the analog. Any thoughts? I'd hate to buy it twice. I've already seen now with the RTC2200 that if my cable run is too long, I get some clipping on the right side of my image.

30m HDMI cable is out of specifications. It works because you are using good hardware, but there's guarantee for the future. My advice is to buy an HDMI extender over ethernet. These devices can take a 1080p signal over 50m using ethernet cable. In the end you can use a very short rgb cable.
