Seems to be one document I don't have. I have three H lin boards out of Barco 808 or 1208 projectors, at least one is from a SEOS unit that may or may not be modded for the SEOS projectors, that may or may not work in a 'regular' 808.

With boards like the convergence on green, you plug it in, and the COG menu shows up within the convergence menu.

I would have thought that the same holds true for the H lin board, but I can't get the 809 split pack to recognize the small board.

The H lin board has no jumpers or adjustments on it, but the convergence driver board has a bunch of jumpers, and I don't know if they need to be changed or not.

If anyone has the installation instructions that they can scan and post, I'll get Kal to put them on the main site.
Thanks!

Hi,

Usually the Barco units recognize the installed boards by polling several I2C adresses during startup. The I2C devices will answer with an acknowledge message and this is how the controller finds out if they are there.
To be honest, I've never heard of an H lin board. In the schematics of the 808's convergence driver I can see the connectors J614 ... J618. If the mentioned board does plug in there the the I2C recognition doesn't apply to it as there's no I2C bus going there (SCL/SDA).
In this case I'd assume some modified firmware to be needed as the controller simply would have to know it's there...

Regards,

Sorry Curt, i've missed this for some reason. Here is what i have, if you didn't sort it out already.
AFAIK, the COG board must be installed too and software version 6.30 or higher is needed ( for BG808 at least).
In my BG808, connections runs like this:

J1 wires from little H lin board goes in pairs of two to the convergence driver
1+2 ----> J405
3+4 ----> J616
5+6 ----> J614
7+8 ----> J619
9+10 ---->J404
11+12---->J402
J603 (H lin)---->J1 (conv drv)
J809 (H lin)---->J809 (COG)
J618 (H lin)---->J618 (conv drv)
J617 (H lin)---->J617 (conv drv)
