What is the best hardware media streamer under $150 new/used?
Something that does .WTV and .MKV and bitstreaming?

I don't care about Netflix or any other capabilities.

It's slightly above your price range, but I have a Boxee Box and love it. It plays anything I throw at it with no problems at all.

I second the boxee box. Love it. Might be able to snag a used one for around your price range

Netgear NeoTV 550 is also a great box that has played everything I've run across too... A bit over your budget, but worth it.
