I pulled this 6' rack out of a swimming pool today, and have no idea what the competition was thinking when they did this installation. 9 years old, lots of custom relay switching stuff that could have easily been accomplished with DSP presets as I'm doing now. Stuff hanging in mid air, fluorescent lights held on by double sided tape, 3 power cords going into 1 AC plug, etc.
This is without the wiring in place to and from the rack, I spent 2 hours figuring that out. labeling that and removing it.. The front of the rack looks OK, but the backside is hideous!

What a difference a few days make. Same rack, different installer.

Some better looking racks are over in the Off Topic forum, but how safe for work they are and how much equipment they will hold, I don't know...

I've been doing programming of the DSP unit for the last 3 days. Apparently I know how to write a bit of code now, nowhere near what I should know, but being a non computer programmer, I think I did OK (with massive help from the manufacturer).
I installed this piece:

Not much to look at from the front (unlike the racks in the OT section), but man, what a performer!
