Actually, the tubes cost me 2500 bucks. That's a great price for 10,000 hours of use! Smile

His tubes cost as much as my VPL-VW50 bulb will last (at most), I think its worth $1900 cliff!! I spent $300 on used tubesfor my XG and at least I know Ill get more than 2500 hours out of them than my light bulb Very Happy

You can equate it to whatever you want to make yourself feel good, but it is still $3800. I can buy a minimum of 8 lamps for what he spent on just new tubes alone. Then there are the other costs, including the initial costs.

But if you can't afford the picture he has then it is moot to play the elitist f*ck and sh*t on those that cannot--and I say this with the utmost respect. If you want to promote CRT there is a room for that. Trolling isn't needed.

Nice! Are you running it actively or passively? The active 3D on my RS50 has been fun, but my screen was only 84" wide so light output was never an issue. Obviously a passive setup has the potential to help with this.

It's active. Passive would require a special screen and polarizing filters but with that being said, Craig Rounds did an amazing job with Lumagen getting 3D to work with CRT. It's awesome! Smile

I like to think I have the courage to say what everyone else is too chicken to voice.

Believe it or not, I do filter my output when it is called for. But, I have repeatedly been thanked professionally for doing what they lacked the courage to do. I'm not known for being timid.
