Hi.
I am trying to wrap my head around this subject.
Even if I am a novice in this profession, I have ordered the Chromapure professional sw and added the opt for advanced autocal, as well as the retail box with the autocal sw for pc /mac monitors and the EyeOne Display 3 PRO.
I have also ordered the AVLab CalMAN HDMI 2.0 4K Ultra HD Test Pattern Generator.
Nothing has arrived yet, but I keep my cool...

This is a fairly good bundle I think.
Now I come to the problem that get my head spinning Shocked Shocked Shocked

How to Automatic calibrate my friends monitor?

I understand that it is only possible if I use the "Lumagen Radiance external video processor"
If I buy Lumagen Radiance 2123 or 2143, will I be able to use this at my friends house to do the automatic calibration, and take te device with me back home, or must I leave it so he can enjoy his new and hopefully perfect picture.

I am a newbie, but I`ll come around I guess... just need some basics.

I have not been able to find answere to this, probably because it is obvious for all exept me Embarassed

So, must I buy a lumagen and leave it behind?

The calibration stays with the video processor. This is the case for all instances of LUT calibration. The processing required is too demanding for a software solution, so it requires hardware--in this case the Lumagen--to do the color corrections.

Short of leaving the Lumagen behind, the only thing you can do is a regular calibration using the display's own calibration controls. You can use the TPG signal generator for that.

Tom is correct. To better understand how auto-calibration works, please see our ChromaPure Auto-Calibration Packages order page here:

http://www.curtpalme.com/ChromaPure_Auto_Calibration.shtm

It answers questions such as:

- What is automatic calibration?
- Why use automatic calibration?
- How does automatic calibration work?
- Why does the number of calibration points matter?

We do have some Radiance open box units available at greatly discounted prices including 2143 units. See: http://www.curtpalme.com/Radiance.shtm
These are brand new units that for various reasons cannot be sold as "new". All come with full manufacturer warranty and support. They have been fully tested and are cosmetically perfect. Supply is extremely limited.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Kal
