How does the VIP Theatre RF glasses compare to active glasses found in other high end LCD/LED/Plasma 3D TVs ?

An example would be the Panasonic TCP65VT30. This is the high end plasma 65" 3D TV that uses active shutter glasses.

1. What is the advantage(s) and disadvantage(s) of VIP Theatre RF glasses vs. the ones from Panasonic TCP65VT30 ?

2. Can I use the VIP RF glasses with the TCP65VT30 if I use it with the 3D-Theatre unit with its emitter ?

3. If #2 can be done, which one would look better? Would they be the same or worse compare to the glasses that comes with the plasma TV ?

VIP labeled glasses and the MonsterVision ones are identical. I am not aware of any others that have a tuning function like the RF glasses. If you find any let us know.

1. As stated earlier they have a tuning function. But I would think if you had a Panasonic 3D late model unit you wouldn't need to tune them. A Panasonic group would be a better source to ask.

2. IF the Panasonic unit has a VESA-97 port on it then they probably would work, as state above see if any one in a Panasonic display group has tried them.

3. Can't answer number 3.

There are unfortunately many, many different types of glasses available. How ours compare to others is impossible to talk about since we haven't obviously tried every other pair available.

Our RF glasses are adjustable which means they can be tweaked to optimize how they work with different displays. Some cheaper active shutter glasses are also much darker (cutting out more light) which results in a dimmer image.

For more info on the RF glasses see our order page: http://www.curtpalme.com/RFGlasses.shtm
