After reading a bit about the 3D Theatre product today, it appears that the box essentially takes 3d-formatted input from a variety of sources and outputs it in formats that virtually any HD display can accept. Since it has a VESA port for glasses emitters, and its video is compatible with older HD sets, I'm thinking/hoping that I wouldn't need to swap my Moome FullHD V2 for the newer V3 in order to use the Theatre with my existing CRT and LCD HD displays. Am I on track here? Question

You're 100% on track.

I was hoping so. Thanks, Kal!

One further question re: AVR/Pre-Pros and the 3D Theater box. If one was using an AVR/Pre-Pro as the usual A/V switcher, in order to pass the signal through properly, would the user need one of the newer 3D compatible units?

No. There will be exceptions (because of the horrible mess we call HDMI) but generally speaking even HDMI 1.0 devices can be used.

I updated the 3D-Theatre FAQ with a ton of questions like this. Give it a read - it's about 1/2 way down the 3D-Theatre page here: http://www.curtpalme.com/3DTheatre.shtm

Like always, I update the contents as the information gets refined to (a hopefully somewhat) clear picture for everyone.
