|
|
As I took down the Sony 1292 projector due to a bad blue tube I do not need this anymore. The projector is not working anymore.
Anyway, if anyone needs any parts from it I would be happy to part with them. The lenses and tubes weighes a "ton" (it has lenses ment for a curved screen), so I'm not too keen on sending those as the freight cost will be high and the packing a nightmare.
Send me a PM or a mail at kjell(at)fjelde.org.

1292 came with HD10-F. These were different to those supplied on the G90 which are also called HD10-F.

Thanks for the answer. Super dupa lenses! I wish I have known that before - I would have booked a flight as I am always hunting for curve lenses, and then HRQs ...these are king! How much did you charge?
Hail to the king

To be honest I have no idea what the different parts of the machine are worth. I made a deal with a friend to take the parts and in return i'll recieve help with my HT. By guessing on the numbers of mails I have recieved I begin to suspect the c elements, the hrq904 lenses and a green and red tube with 650 hours on them in super condition, are in higher demand than I thought.
Cheers kjell.

I have had some curves in the past. But if you have a/the one person auditorium, than you can do much deeper curve screens, as only the center of the viewing area must be lit. But I never achieved the curve I wanted, becuase of the limitation of geometric control of the CRTs, or deep foucusing ability of the lenses. So I am back to flat.
The HRQ would solve one problem. The Tan marquee I have heard of would solve the geometry problem. Someone ever heard of CRT projectors modified for deeper curves - like TAN, Seos or other. Boards available?

i have the black box that allows for more geometry control that i took of my focus module.
i have no idea whats in the box but it shouldn`t be so hard to recreate, maybe tse has some schematics
i have a tan marquee and besides the black box addon on the fgm the marquee is the same as another 9500.

Very very intersting to me! Thanks!
So the black box came with the tan? So it should be that black box that allows curve. Is this blackbox soldered into the fgm or is there a connector? I am desperate for more details or picutres

it allows for more range in getting your geometry right on a curved screen, that`s all.
on a simple curved screen (torus it is not really necessary but on a curved screen with a certain small enough radius the black box might be needed.
here is a link where i asked some questions about the black box, almost 2 years ago......... how time flies, was a newbie then to crt.

So this was in a 9500...Do you think this black box or the complete fgm would work in an Ultra? Do you still have it or want to sell it??

this came from my 9500ultra so it certainly works.
i will have a look at how it should be connected on the fgm.
you can have it for the cost of shipping, it is of no use to me.
