hi guys

have an old Panasonic RPTV, 1080 capable but only in 25i. i'm able to play Aussie DVD content through my Blu-ray player with HDFury and it outputs and displays on the TV in perfect (scaled) 1080i.

i have also developed an EDID that allows US DVD and any Blu-ray to play in what I think may be 576p, but when I try to get 1080i from these sources using the default HDFury 1080i EDID or my own modified EDID, the image is badly distored with RGB rolling skewed image and vertical RGB stripes down one side.

my hypothesis is that the Fury EDID and my own EDID are actually signalling the Blu-ray player that the TV can handle 1080 in 30i and so when the source material is of a 60p nature, it scales and displays it in 30i.

i have checked the TV set and it definitely can only accept 1080 25i, and as i mentioned before, i watch Aussie DVDs on it in 1080i all the time (yes they would be scaled by the BR player, but the point is the TV identifies the signal as 1080i and plays it fine)

does anyone have any ideas on how to make an EDID that is for 1080 25i only and excludes 30i?

any help greatly appreciated!

Sean
