Finally, I am getting enough DVDs to want to keep track of them on my computer.

So, I'm looking for recommendations/suggestions for programs that will help me.

I have found Movie Collector (http://www.collectorz.com/movie/features.php) and DVD Profiler (http://www.invelos.com/).

Haven't tried either of them. I am looking for something that’s easy; plug 'n play. Enter bar code or title, etc... and let the program populate with a thumbnail and info.

Kind of hard to explain what I am looking for as this is my first few days of looking into this.

As always, thanks in advance.

I was reading about this, but reviews were saying since the information is lacking since they stopped going to IMDB for info.

Do you have any problems gathering the correct information for movies?

Thanks.

I would definitely recommend using a "real" company. I had used a program called MyDVDs. One day it quit being able to go to IMDB and find the movie info. I did some research and found it was a one person outfit and he dropped off the face of the earth. I had to reinput all of my movies (over 600) into a new program. I checked with Collectorz and found that have an staff of 10 to 12 people and have cataloging software for CD's, books, comics and games as well.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't bought or added any dvd's to it in over a year. When I was setting it up though I really did think it was slick...click and all the info pics etc added instantly. One of the few software I've bought that I was happy with the purchase price when I used it. That was then though.

Thanks for the replies. I have since found some more stuff: Movienizer 4.0, Double Feature and others. These sites gave me some good places to look at: http://dvd-collection-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ and http://www.softsea.com/software/Movie-Collection-List-2.html .

But still need some reviewing.

I am still looking. So far, I have tried, DVD Profiler, Movie Collector, Movie Label and Extreme MOvie Manager. None of the programs were any good at displaying the cover information. You could see the covers, but the actual lettering/wording was not readable.

Still looking.
