I've replaced all the projector's boards, except for the power supplies, and managed to get the projector working again. However, I'm facing an issue with the red tube not focusing. This problem originally arose due to a high-voltage shock damaging the red tube (it burned the CLM). Now, even though the red tube lights up and the contrast adjusts, it won't focus, and the image appears shifted. I attempted swapping the red tube with the green one, but the issue persists. Should I consider demagnetizing the front of the tube? Is this the appropriate solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rather suspicious that this post is a slightly rephrased copy of an earlier post by AdrianJensen ...

To provide context, the projector initially malfunctioned due to a high voltage shock affecting the very same red tube, resulting in damage to the CLM. At present, the red tube is displaying an out-of-focus image, accompanied by what appears to be a shift in its positioning. The tube emits light, allows for contrast adjustments, and responds to changes in contrast levels, yet the ability to achieve focus remains elusive. In an attempt to resolve this, I also experimented by swapping the red tube with the green one, yet the problem persists. Could it be that demagnetizing the tube's front is the appropriate solution? I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from those experienced in this matter. |

Can someone explain why someone would post this? What is in it for them? I just don't get the hustle of doing this for what?

They originally post something innocuous that flies under the radar and nobody cares. Something without any links, as was done here in the first post. Then a few days or weeks later they edit the post to include backlinks to attempt to try and increase a website's SEO (Google ranking): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backlink
Nobody notices when posts are edited down the road as forums don't send you a notification that a post was edited so the backlink usually goes unnoticed, and people have moved on. But Google will still crawl it and find it.
Often these scammers/spammers are "internet marketing specialists" that take money from unsuspecting companies and promise to increase their SEO (Google rank). Often it has the opposite effect and hurts SEO because Google isn't dumb and realizes it's scammy/spammy content. Back when this forum was popular I used to get panicked emails every once and a while from companies asking me to nuke posts with backlinks because these companies hired an inexpensive [usually offshore] internet marketing company to "help them increase sales through SEO optimization", but it had the opposite effect as their Google rank actually dropped. Backlinks have to be organic/natural for them to work. Spammers/scammers don't care. They have their money.
