The web site says you need a scaler. If the EXT FullHD v3 supports 720p 3D, why do you need the scaler? Why can't you run 720P 3d out of the PS3, into the EXT FullHD v3 and on to your display device?
Thanks,
Terry.

So far as I understood this discussion:
http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23567&highlight=works
there is no HDMI 1.4 chip that can handle more that 720p-3D at reasonable scan rates.
3D-bluray playback is done by PS3 at 1080p, there is no way to limit it to 720p. Therefore you
need a scaler between PS3 and EXT V3, or u have to use a HTPC for 3D-bluray playback,
that's what I am doing right now. A scaler is too pricy for my taste.
On the other hand 3D games are limited to 720p so for games the scenario without scaler fits.

Thanks again for the info!
