The problem with CRTs is they have poor uniformity. Digitals don't have that issue, well LCD isn't great but the others are fine.
Clarence loves it, because it is indestructible and he has kids. I have had other people tell me they need the same strength in their screen.
Mech,
PM me your address and I will try to have it out today or Friday. It depends on if I want to fight old people today or not. I think Harp said it should go to you first and then he would look at it. I was going to send some samples to Darinp2 as well.
Right now, I am using one of the samples as a mouse pad.

Mech,
I grossly underestimated the size of these samples. I thought they would fit in a USPS small box, but they are 8x10 inches. I think I have a box that they will fit in somewhere. Let me look. It may take a couple of days, as I have a bunch of other things I have to do.

Won't fit in one of their envelopes, huh?
No biggie. I'm gonna be out of town the end of next week anyways. I've got a bunch of other things that are coming in next week for reviews as well. When you get to it, you get to it. Getting readings from screen samples is pretty quick and painless.

I took some pics and I guess I need some work with this camera. It can give you kind of an idea. The two small grey samples are Sintra and the big samples are from left to right Gatorplast, Sintra, and Dibond.
I didn't think about an envelope, but I don't want them to get damaged in shipping.

Wow! That one sample, Dibond I believe, seems to hot spot pretty badly.

It's too bad that polyurethane wouldn't work. I remember painting a Black Widow sample with poly once. It negated the aluminum completely. It would probably have the same effect here, along with the yellowing.

Bombs Away! It only took me a couple of months. Mech should have it by the end of the week.
I looked at these some more the other day and every sample except for Dibond showed an image on the back side. The Gatorfoam with a black core also didn't leak, but I am not sure if there is any issue with using the black core. I put each sample about one foot away from the lens for my test.

If I had to buy again it would probably be a DIY http://www.seymourav.com/screens.asp
Only $12.95 linear ft. for 63 in. wide. While I don't have space to have the speakers behind the screen this does give you the flexibility if you so desire.
While I still enjoy my WilsonArt DW screen, controlled but slight hot spotting, it did have 2 small black specs in face. It's durable and washable. I never think twice about damaging it.

Looks like great stuff and the price is certainly agreeable for higher quality AT material. My HT is on the smallish side so getting the speakers out of sight would go a long way in making the room look larger and cleaner. (Gotta have front mains but they don't have to be seen.)
And you just have to love a company with a sense of humor. The stapling pix were a hoot. 
And this at the very bottom of the page:

Spanky - I got the samples last Thursday. I should have everything done by Tuesday or Wednesday. What were all of these again? There are three smaller samples and then 5 larger samples.

The three small ones are Sintra I believe. There is a tag on the back of the large ones. The ones I cut are from my Gatorboard screen.

What is the Gatorfoam and Gatorboard? I thought they were the same.
It looks like the Sintra light grey might be a decent grey screen. White Sintra would be good for those looking for gain and a white screen. Dibond looks good if it wasn't for the high gloss. I wonder if you could lightly sand it with 1500 or so.

While I thought they may have been the same product, I wasn't sure. You told me the one sample without a sticker was Gatorboard and the other one had the Gatorfoam sticker on it. So they are the same then? I have to admit that I am unfamiliar with their products.
The white and light gray Sintra was by far the best of the bunch.
How much does a sheet of each cost? And do they make sheets larger than 4X8?

I think they use the names interchangeably, but I too am not that familiar with them. You may need to call MM. I am sure he can give you a paint mix to apply to it.  
It looks like they have a 120x72 screen.

I don't remember the prices. I think everything was pretty decent depending on the thickness except for Dibond. I want to say a 4x8 was under $100.

Roland is best left to the unknowledgeable. I bet he's still running around saying that his popsicle paints plus house paint equals a Black Diamond or a Supernova.  The only thing that has ever amazed me about him is that Alan and company don't charge him for advertising.
I know there are a couple distributors close by, I'll give them a call and see if I can get some pricing. And I'll have some charts for you later this week and gain readings to follow that.
