accept and display a different refresh rate? 48 or 72Hz for instance?
Or...is there such a thing as a 34" widescreen monitor? I believe there is, but I have never seen one for sale.
I think the guy at Widescreen review has one in one of his reference theaters...sure would be nice to find one. Playing with it and HTPC would be a lot of fun.

Sony has a pro series that can take a 1080p 24 and triple it to 72Hz They retailed for $60 000 or so in 1999. There were two models, one that did all the standard formats 480/576/720/1080 and the other was a high scan model that worked with PC's for autocad etc
