I have recently ordered the ext full hd v.2 and would like to know if I need to use powerstrip together with the moomie? I’m planning on upgrading my GC with a radeon 5 series, which I know powerstrip doesn’t support.

I think that I read somewhere that you can lock the moomie to negative sync and I plan to set the resolution to 1920x1080p 60Hz. Will this work with my BG 1209 or do I need powerstrip and a supported GC?

My answer is simply, No!

The 5000 series cards can output 1080P and bitstream HD audio over HDMI also.

Works great. I have an HD5770 doing just this.

On a side note you can do custom reses in CCC and do not have to use powerstrip.
