Yeah, I'll get off cheaper than I did on the Ampro. I bought it in 2005, and paid 650 for the Ampro, and another 75 for the mount, and then the usual rape-worthy shipping costs.

I will say this: This thing is a stupidly HUGE beast. I mean, BIG. I've never seen a 9" set before, and now I'm a bit scared. The Ampro looks like a portable CRT in comparison.

You should see a 120x series Barco, the 808 series is small-ish in comparison. |
You should see an BR 912 .

I just bought a Runco home theatre system (model #: DIV 992U) and wanted to get more info on it. I haven't tested it yet since there is no power cord. Anyone know what sold for originally back in 2001?
I read on one of the posts that this unit is only good for parts. It looks in good condition, but of course, won't know until I plug it in and che check everything.
I'd appreciate any feedback regarding whether I should keep it or try and resell it.
Thanks

Really hard to tell. If the tubes are in good condition, you might get 2-300$ for it, IF you can find the right person near to you. Although most people (=not CRT fanatic) would't give a single penny for it, and shipping cost are overkill.
If the tubes have significant wear you can part out the machine, if the projector otherwise is working, the High Voltage quadrupler sells good (mstly worth more than the whole pj in one piece), and the tinted HD8 lenses are also worth some money.

Ricardo if you find it's not working, or if the tubes are burnt, I would be interested in the Red and Green tinted lenses. I can even send you 2 clear ones as replacements if you wan to sell it as a complete parts machine.
If it's working and tubes are clean , then use it

I am going to turn it on today. How much would the Red and Green lenses be worth to you if I take that route?

When you turn it on, let it sit and idle for an hour. Give it some time to warm up
