a friend who is in the middle of remodeling the house started shopping for a new tv service provider.
I was looking to get her full control and recordability from four tv locations and be able to share dvr function from all locations..
any ideas???
I'm hoping a provider can offer all equiptment and provide service..... I really dont want to have to keep fixing or upgrading for them.. like if it's a pc bases dvr...
uverse is not available in here area yet... and I'm not all that happy with my uverse but the cheep price helps me live with it..

The DirecTV MRV (multi-room viewing) plan will do this. Basically put an HD or HDDVR receiver in each location and the receivers are networked via the coax to fully share the DVR capabilites across all receivers.
You need an H21 or higher HD model and any of the HDDVR models to make this work.

I also believe that D* allows a version of Cyberlink Windows software for media-PC remote playback.
