Thanks again for the reply and the detailed how-to, Roger. My scope is also an older analog Tektronix, but a different model from yours, so I'll need to use your methodology. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to it sometime during the next couple of days and report back on what I found.

Ok, it turns out that I didn't need to run the scope check after all. I had emailed Moome asking if Roger's final mod would be needed for proper 1080i performance on my early V2, and he replied that it would. Using a .pdf file he included as well as Roger's excellent picture, I was able to do the mod. Because I inadvertently broke off the IC pin while trying to lift it, the mod is now irreversible on my box unless I choose to replace the IC. But the improvement in clarity on text and other fine detail is very noticeable, so I'm happy.
