I'm demoing tech from 1990 (or so) and I need to hook up a laserdisc player (composite out and SVideo out) up to a Barco 600 (RGBHV in).
The problem is that I need the conversion from composite to component to be very, very basic, with no improvement to the image (no degradation either though ;^). I'm trying to demonstrate the difference between an improved signal and an unimproved signal.
I'd like to have something that was available at the time (1990) or earlier. I understand that transcoders existed back then.
What was the standard transcoder at the time?

I have line doubler that came with a Runco 850 that has s video inputs and an RBG output. The signal can go through as native or doubled at the push of a button. Is this what you need?
