Hi Guys, I trying to hook up an Acer x1161p DLP projector to a Samsung BD-C5900 Blu-Ray 3d player and am getting the 'Samsung player does not detect a 3d supported device' message and it will not play in 3d, 2d plays just fine.
My video sequence is: Samsung BD-C5900 (1080p) > HDMI 1.4>Atlona AT-HD550 HDMI to HDMI up/down Converter and Scaler (set to 720p)> HDMI 1.4 > Ext FullHD V3 > VGA > Acer X1161p DLP Projector.
The guys at Atlona assure me that the scaler can handle 3d in at 1080p and scale down to 3d at 720p @ 60hz, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
It is recommended to set the resolution of the scaler (in my case the HTPC) to the native resolution
of the beamer for 3D. In case of your and also my beamer this should be 800x600. Then evrything should work fine,
Moome also support 3D for SVGA (800x600). It could be that a native 720p signal (1280x720) doesn't work with the
X1161p. For the X1110 this works so far as I can say really although this is nowhere documented this way, well I don't want to complain (the X1110 synchronizes with 1158x720 when I put a 720p@120Hz on input)
But in order to be sure I would first try with the native resolution SVGA.
