Goodshucken, I can tell that you have not fully read the manual yet.

Unless there's someone in Ohio that is familar with Barcos that can come over to run through the unit with you, you REALLY need to read the manual.

We're not trying to be A-holes here, but if you have not read the manual that has all the info in it that you need, you're doing yourself a disservice by asking questions that are completely covered in the manual.

The width of the pix is controller by the width control in the geometry menu, the height control is the V size in the same menu

Hey Curt, does the Barco 800 have the step by step on screen like the 808s?

Ok goodshucken, follow the manual for the mechanical setup ( distance, make sure it's squared to the screen ). Then use the on screen set up and see where that get's you.

Yes use V-size to squeeze the picture down and use H-size to expand until you have achieved a 16:9 ratio. There is no 16:9 stetting per se you have to dial it in. If you don't have a 16:9 screen you will need to measure that you have the proper aspect ratio.

I think you really need to read the manual. If you cannot even figure out how to get into the menu you are never going to set it up. Not trying to be an ass but you really seem very confused. Barco's are about the easiest CRT for a beginner but CRTs are not for everybody.
