I was trying to post Screen shots here from my MobileMe gallery website and they wont post, but over On AVS they post Just fine?

Here is the Img Link with the proper prefix and suffixs

is there something you can do to allow them Kal or is it something else from Apple side? But I can't see that since AVS allows the links to show up in posts?

Yup. I clicked on it and didn't see any pictures at all.

Hm. I just tried it again. This time I got the first two pictures, but nothing after "Here you can see the blend zone a bit." Weird. Must be kind of flaky?

The MobileMe photo URL's aren't URL's to an actual image... It's a pointer to a database record. It's powerful because the server can dynamically serve different things based on commands you give it... For instance a low-res thumbnail, a normal screen res file for browsing, or the high-res original.

The problem is that the forum software doesn't think it's an image, so it doesn't parse the image URL at all, and instead just serves up inline text to the browser. The MobileMe server never even sees a hit. It would require a change to the forum software... Not sure if it would be easy for Kal to implement or not.

Got it! You can direct-link to a MobileMe gallery image - you just have to know the format...

I'm sure there's probably a way to modify the forum software here to do it... problem is that unlike AVS where a group of people run it as full time jobs, I run this site as a side business (I already have a full time job). Someone figure out how to clone me and I'd get a lot more done. Wink
