Thanks Erik, Yes, it actually works that way. Just follow the steps listed at the top of the post and it will use the MPLS. Watchman is a weird disk, because one of the mpls has Picture in picture commentary. Make sure you select the one that doesn't have that.
I'm buried with work right now but I hope to get back to this soon...Perhaps make it more Wizard based.

Dang, you caught me before I could change my post, I was messing with it, and hit the right button, it works just like you describe.
Thanks again for working on this, it's really coming along nicely. _________________ -peace

Hey Mike, do you have any new versions in the works? I know you're busy, but was curious. _________________ www.shatteredplanet.org

Thanks for the work on this. I'm fairly new to all this so please excuse what might be obvious questions. I followed your install instructions, though I wasn't sure what to do with the madflac.rar file? ArcSoft's Total Media Theater also wouldn't install, not sure if that's because I'm on Windows 7 X64? Is total media theater strictly necessary to run this program? I decided to try it out anyways and it seems to start after getting to the point of selecting run all but then gives and "ERROR NOT FOUND!" message. I have hopefully attached the log.txt file and the error log.
Am I running into this error because of the above issues I had with installation or is there something else easy to fix? It seems to be pointed at the correct source and AnyDVD is running. Thanks for any help!

Ok.... The first log error is because you probably didn't get an audio file, that would because you don't have Arcsoft installed, if the movie you were ripping had a DTS-Master track. There might be a way to install the filters only or buy the 64 bit version of Arcsoft that will install, I think there still is a hack required for you to use TMT 3 with eac3to, it involves renaming some files or folders perhaps someone else will chime in that knows...Or ask the question in this thread on AVS.

Thanks Mike. I definitely don't have Arcsoft installed (I guess it is completely necessary:( That's too bad, couldn't get it to install), but I did have the stream folder selected and AnyDVD running. Oh well, I'll keep plugging away at it.
On an off topic note, after installing all of the recommended items (with the exception of ArcSoft), my Hulu Desktop no longer works. Hulu through the browser is fine but the desktop app, either through MC or launched outside of MC, just goes to a black screen. Any thoughts? I uninstalled Haali media splitter again in case that was invovled but no dice. Thanks again for any thoughts

Maybe something else is also wrong then? I unfortunately am pretty good at following instructions, but I don't really know what any of this stuff does, which makes it hard to trouble shoot if thing don't go correctly! For instance, what am I supposed to do with that madflac.rar file?

Ahh...a rar file is like a zip...you need to unpack. Look around you will find a tool to unpack....then install it...without it, it will fail.

Great front end, especially as I'm looking to convert my HD-DVD's including DD+ conversion and Forced Sub support!
Couple of things:
1) If I use the default one click mux option - the DD+ is being reduced to AC3 not FLAC (I can manually create the FLAC with eac3to command line)
2) Can we have WAV over FLAC in the one click mux option? - As with the option now added to ClownBD, I would prefer an option to convert all my Audio to WAV (over FLAC) as while it takes up more space, there is no need for any transcoding or audio filters for conversion/playback.
Thanks again and it looks like I have a potential fav for simple HD-DVD/Blu-ray to MKV (and Clown BD for HD-DVD to Blu-ray)!

first off, nice GUI, thanks for all the work.
my first rip was flawless with no errors and it worked great.
for my second rip attempt, i tried ripping 'UP' and ran into the same thing Lowea did:
Code:
Likely forced subtitle not found...
ERROR! Not found...Cannot continue
and after reading the replies, i got a bit confused...

It should fall back to the internal DTS decoder if Arcsoft isn't installed.
Eac3to itself does.
so is TMT3Platinum required?
I don't have TMT3 installed, and I'd rather not purchase it if i don't need to since i already own PDVD, but if required, i'll get it (they have a 30% off sale right now )

well, i still haven't installed TMT and the second attempt to rip 'UP' was successful and the mkv seems to play just fine.
i'm pasting in the logs from both attempts, and one errors and one doesn't. the only thing i did different between the 2 was choose a different track list the second time (i found out that 'up' is kind of goofy and has 3 main movie tracks to choose from...)

i just wanted to throw these "features" out there in case anyone else had them happen and if they maybe could help with development.
so far, i am really happy with this gui and i think i've found my new favorite bluray backup tool.
thanks again!

OK, this seems like a weird/dumb request and maybe there is something I can just do in windows to change it for me...
Here's the situation. Crazy as it will sound to some, I use this program on my HTPC,(Duh!) But my only display is my theater screen which is of course, really big(98x54) The problem is I have my text size bumped up to 200%(My desktop shortcut icons are 13" tall!!) in order to have a nice readable desktop etc. from my theater seats as I surf, write e-mails etc...(FYI the world most comfortable office!!) The problem is when I open "Another Eac3to GUI" and it opens full screen and I can't see the bottom part of the screen where the "run all" buttons are...So I have to go into settings, dial text down to 125% in order to see the full program box, but that makes everything on my screen pretty small, so I can't really start it leave it run and do other work for 1+ hour per movie...Is there a way to make the program box adjustable, like when you pull the corners and then be able to scroll down to the part where the "run all" buttons are??

This is almost exactly what I need, but not quite. But I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
I want to convert all my blu-rays to mkv, with the legacy core audio, the HD audio (TrueHD, DTS-MA), and/or FLAC. I'd settle for just the core and the FLAC, but I'd prefer all 3 tracks, as I'm not sure which program I'll be using for playback in the future.
I've ran some tests on this. the first time I used it, I got an MKV with video and a FLAC track, and the legacy DTS core track was dumped out seperately to the MKV. Since then I've tried a few more times, and all I get is the FLAC track in the MKV, no sign of the legacy core anywhere. So my questions are:
1. Can/Does this GUI add both the FLAC and the legacy core to the MKV?
2. Can/Does this GUI add the FLAC, HD audio track and the legacy core to the MKV?

Smokyjoe, I would use the HD-DVD/Bluray Stream Extractor for what you want, then mux with mkvmerge yourself. The tools already exist, in easy to use forms.
Mike, I think you should concentrate on getting the core functionality of your Gui right (single-app main movie to flack with forced subs), rather than dilute it down - the other guis are more flexible already.
The only add feature I think it needs is the ability to force a non-forced sub for foreign language films.
(And fix bugs like the default directory question, and I'm not sure moving the subtitles works at all - it doesn't for me, I get no subs, and power management issues (monitor doesn't turn off in eac3to stage, but pc goes into standby during mkvmerge stage.)

I agree - for a One Click GUI to MKV, I'd go for:
- Audio to FLAC (or if you have the time a preference that lets you select WAV, FLAC, NONE)
- Forced Subs
For any of the more complicated ones I'll do it manually.
