Sweet Mike, I'll give it a go.

I had a few issues with the earlier version, where it would process for ages, and then the files disappeared at the end. Have you had that happen to you?

Why?

The whole point of Bluray is it's 1080p.

Hard Drives are cheap.

Not sure...I haven't see a good way to do it and I’ve heard horror stories of re-encoding taking days to run. I'm open to any ideas….if anyone knows of a good command line re-encoder it could included it. Writing one is way beyond me.

Yes and its fixed, when using the command line button. You may also turn off file deletion in the options dialog "Delete work files after MKVMerge".

I have tested forced subtitle detection on the following movies Gran Torino, The Eye, Defiance, Vantage Point, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Youth Without Youth and Underworld - Rise of the Lycans all were detected correctly.

I've been ripping directly off the Blu-ray and have a fully remuxed movie in 45 minutes to an hour and half.

BTW the latest version creates logs in the folder c:\program files\ACD\AnotherEAC3ToGUI\Logs\GUI if you have Vista UAC disable...If it's enabled is still is written somewhere ...but god and only Bill Gates knows where.

See Below:

Analyzing .....started at 00:45:25

C:\Users\%youruser%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ACD\Another EAC3to GUI\Logs\GUI
or
C:\Users\%youruser%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ACD\Another EAC3to GUI\Logs\EAC3to

There is an issue with the multiline Results listbox sometimes not painting to the screen correctly after ripping...That's next on the list and GUI access to the logs.

This version seems to work Mike (except I ran out of harddrive space on my scratch disc...my fault).

But the MKVmerge stage seems to take 5x as long as running the MKVmerge Gui. Have you noticed a difference?

Also, my PC goes into standby when running MKVmerge, both the gui and the command line version.
I realise it's not your issue, but is there anything your program could do to prevent that? Or, once the batch run is started, has your program "finished" it's job completely, and is no longer active?

Thanks for testing Mark...Can you post the MKV Merge command line that you use if you have a chance...I find the MKV Merge (command line) documentation very confusing....I can then compare it to what I generate. I will look into overriding sleep mode while the program is running a batch job.

Oo...err...

Can you get the command line "out" when you set it up using the mkvmerge gui?

I've never done it via the command line - running your program was the first time I've ever seen it via command line.

Yes at the bottom of the MKVMerge GUI there is a button labled Copy to clipboard...

The powersaver code looks easy...I have it in already in the app...Now I just need to test it and see if it works.

I have a question with regular subtitles (non-forced)...I add them to MKVMerge GUI they allways default to on in MPC-HC...Can you do something in MKVMerge to prevent that?

Make sure you disable the powesaver code after the batch runs have finished!

Or my PC will stay on all night..

I'll get you that command line tonight.

I don't know.

I only ever add the subtitle file to mkvmerge if it's needed.

And I have Zoomplayer set to play any subtitle that is in the file. So I'd have the same issue I guess.

Ok...I'm going to put non-forced subs on the back burner at this time it bugs me to have to turn them off...

I'm also adding to the log all the command line args for eac3to, bdsubtosub and mkvmerge so we can see what's going on.

Oh, Mike, I've realised why the mkvmerge part might be taking longer than normal.

Normally I write the files to one drive with eac3to, them mkvmerge to the final destination drive - a different drive.

The way your gui works, it reads and writes to the same drive.

It would be nice if we could set the destination for the output file to be different to the working directory (unless I'm missing a setting).

Also, a divide by zero error happens in ZP when Reclock can't connect. Something is wrong with your filter settings. Maybe try with Default Directsound or Waveout to figure it out.

When someone asks what player to use, I tell them MPC-HC. But ZP is for me. It's far more configurable, and has a much better GUI (including a media navigator frontend which is usable).

Too funny...I just ripped my "The Bank Job" disk last night too....No the drive it is not configurable yet...I could make an option to do so...I might make it an advanced option. Call it scratch location. That would make sense why it would be faster the head on the drive would not be dancing all over the place reading and writing. I have one of those 10K RPM SATA drives...That would be perfect for the scratch drive.

Sorry your having problems, could you attach a screen capture after you press the Analize button?

or in the folder "c:\Program Files\ACD\Another EAC3to GUI" you should have a file called errorlog.txt if you could attach it that would be great too.

If you have Vista UAC enabled the file will be located in the folder:

C:\Users\%Your User Name%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ACD\Another EAC3to GUI

I am mounting BluRay ISOs I made with eac3To.....

eac3to can read the ISOs fine when I use its CLI, as can MakeMKV. For some reason your program seems to balk at them

attached is pic...dunno who to embed.

here is errorlog:

Quote:

at AnotherEAC3toGUI.frmMain.gbtnRunBatches_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Also, can you add an option to convert any audio input to AC3 640 for blu ray to ensure maximum NMT if user does not want to use coax or toslink?

The application is failing when it tries to evaluate the results from running "eac3to.exe 1)". It does not like what eac3to is returning. I've never tired it from an ISO, when you created the ISO did you make it from AnyDVD-HD and include all tracks? I've never made an ISO before so excuse my ignorance, if it's not possible to remove tracks. I've just never seen a disk structure like that. Have you tried ripping directly off a blu-ray...Does it work then?

I would guess it also fails when you use the command line button. Do this:

Select tracklist 1) in the results list then press the "Command Line" button. You should get the same error. Without doing anything else post the contends the file called "log.txt" in AnotherEAC3to GUI folder, not "errorlog.txt". The file "log.txt" is the output of eac3to the GUI analizes, it should hold the key to the problem.

Yes...I can probably do that...I will look into it.
