|
|
Hi,
i want to show a few friends what the gamma correction does to the picture. In the past i always had to pull out the Fury from the RTC2200 and directly connect it to the crt cable. But i dont like this much, it costs time and the comparision between gamma correction on/off is hard.
Is there a way to simply solder an "bypass" switch to the pcb so i can do a fast switch between on/off?
Thanks for any info i can get.
regards
Chris
PS: btw, the RTC2200 works perfect for me =)

Thx Kal, but this is not what i want to do As you mentioned, i will never find the good position again
I hope that there is a pin or something that can be pulled up/down and let me bypass the gamma correction.
Pls help!

Chris

Chris,
When you are a bit adventurous you can open the case and short the positive side of C59 (the side with the band) to ground. The location of this capacitor varies a bit depending on the version of the board but can be found on figure 2 of the manual. You can use tweezers to do the actual shorting. Try not to short the other side too long, that is the negative supply. When you blow something up I will fix it for free
