My Marquee 9500 Ultra has a set of HD-10GT lenses. There is no 17 or 26 sufix at the end. I saw a refference to such lenses at the sticky post on lenses, but there is no other info regarding them. Does anybody know what screen widths these lenses are optimal for as well as the recommended throw distance?

Hi,

Can You post a picture of the lens and its label?
Maybe it came from a different machine and can be identified by its color code (Barco/Seos used them)...

Regards,

They are the predecessor to the 17 and 26 I think. I believe they have the same specs as the HD10, just better quality optics.

I wonder if the 'GT" stands for greater tolerance ?

Thank you all for the quick reply. What formula should I use in determining the throw distance?

I generally use 1.35 X the width of the screen, but to make 100% sure, set the projector up on the floor, make sure you've got the image within the tube phosphor area, move the projector forward and back, then measure that throw distance and hang the set.

Compared to my 8500 with HD8 lenses, should the 9500 be placed further back for the same screen (2m wide)?

Thanks Curt. The 9500 needs some servicing to be ready. It has some fungus on the red tube, so I will need to get some new bellows first. I am also hoping to add a red C-element, so please let me know if you have any available. I will also be changing the glycol in all 3 tubes.
I have a set of MP modded neck boards on my 8500. Will these fit the 9500 right away?
