I may just be used to high lumen event projectors and their loudness though, they're just as big as a 9" CRT but a HELL of a lot louder thanks to those nice hot xenon lamps. |
You suck!

Hi guys,
does anyone knows if the antistreakchips for the 1292 are still available somehow? The old url antristreakchip.com and RogueChili is not active anymore here in the Forum.
Thanx,
prover

Was anyone ever able to track down RogueChili or have a spare anti-streak module I could purchase?
I have a VPH-1292 with a Moome IFB-FULLHD v3, and installed the anti-streak modification a few years ago. I've been very pleased with its performance, but one of the modules now fails after about an hour's use, leading to no green output. If I power down the projector to let it cool, all's well for another hour or so but then the green dies again. Having a projector which needs to take a rest every hour is a pain so I need to get this fixed.
Contrary to the received wisdom regarding the VPH-1292, I really like this projector. I've installed it in a dedicated, light-proof room in my basement home theater and it works well for me. Yes, the fan noise is non-optimal but with Moome's card the picture quality from my Oppo UDP-203 in a fully darkened room looks great, at least to my eyes.
So, is there any way to contact RogueChili, buy a single replacement module, or (worst case) reverse the mod to the green board to get my 1292 to work for more than an hour?
Thanks
