Ok,

So I've calibrated my LCD TV (as far as the controls on it allowed) following the "Dummies" guide.

Tonight I started with measuring my 808 and measured for the "peak" Luminance to make sure the meter was positioned correctly. Using the 100 IRE pattern, windowed.
Now, the problem is that I get a 80 ftL measurement Very Happy
Don't think that is quite right from a CRT PJ.
To get down to 12-15ftL the B808 contrast/brightness controls are at the 10-20 range.
Or move the meter 10-20" from the screen.

When looking at the individual primaries the green and blue is steady at 70% but red is like 300%.

The source is a HTPC->DVI->HDFury->Port3, in this session I used the .iso from the HCFR website.

I rechecked on the LCD TV and the primaries are steady at around 100% except for blue (90%), was not possible to get it better with the normal TV controls.
Using the same .iso but different source equipment.

Anyone know were to start troubleshooting ? Smile

Ahh, sorry, I knew I missed something.

It's a Spyder2, using HFCR.

Got a tip from avsforum, tried using the CRT setting instead of LCD (as the guide states).
Now the levels seems to be more normal than before.
