I am thinking of adding a Lumagen before my VP50pro to greyscale flat all my sources, do some color decoder tweaking etc. Smile

but the Lumagens only output 8-bit RGB via DVI so I would be bottlenecking my chain of 100% true 10-bit 4:2:2 HDMI sources, scaler and HDFury2, so I haven't decided yet

How about using analog inputs? Lumagen has 10-bit DAC. It is being my problem now also. I am wondering which is better, DVI to XG Moome's card or RGBHV inputs?

You need something in the video chain to handle HDCP, unless you do HD-SDI, like Gary does. My Moome DVI Card never worked right....I currently only use it for component in from my over compressed SAT dish. Scalers seem to handshake much better with the Moome DVI then STB do so you should be ok.

That's what I do to get best of both worlds! Radiance -> VP50 Pro -> BlendZilla/TVOne's

Surely the Radiance isn't bottle necked to 8 bit is it?

no, hell no Gino, but I can't afford that right now Mr. Green I was speaking of everything but the Radiance, HDP, HDQ etc.

me and the guys were wondering if you still did this and I guess we just got our answer Thumbs Up

no more HD-SDI though Gino?

HD-SDI on hold at the moment, funds diverted elsewhere for the time being. All will be revealed in 4-6 months.

It's 8! Years later so I'm gonna guess NO, no hope on this.
