what is the bandwidth limit on the current moome hdmi v1.3 card cause 1920*1080 at 96hz might require a higher pixelclock then 250mhz.

moome will you be providing a card with dual dvi-link for 3d purpose or perhaps a dual-hdmi link?
i would prefer this instead of the single hdmi link.
dual dvi goes to 2*165mhz.

thanks, i was thinking of 1 hdmi and 1 dvi dl.
people that have more then 1 hdmi device use a switcher anyway.

What is the development cycle like for the moome cards? Will we be seeing a "version 4" card for Marquees within the next few months?
Thanks,
James

Dear James:
we planned the V4 for VIM, but what function or upgrade you think can put on new V4?
we need some customer input.

Hi Moome, how about a color management system (CMS)? At its simplest form, 10-bit LUTs for each color would do.

I have no idea whatt this is, but everyone is always going on about Lumagen's Color management System so It sounds worth while. Sorry

1) I think CMS would be huge!!
2) Porch settings would be nice if possible
3) 72 hz if possible also
Not sure which most would want more. I would prefer CMS just because I have a vp-50 and basically have 2 and 3 covered, but for those without VPs 2 may be a bigger priority.

I know you can't say for sure, but what would be a rough time frame? 6 months, 1 year, more?

Thanks

Kal, are there still any of these left? It's not that big of a deal 'bout the price going back up...since the price didn't double or triple! THAT would be a deal ender.
Also, please tell me there's no auto HDMI input detect on this card.
I've read the post about the individual having handshake difficulties with the V2, and I've had (& still have) those issues with my v2 extfullHD (in addition to it not handling any refresh rate above 60Hz), but mine @ least DOES eventually link...(it's my 2nd, Moome replaced my 1st almost a year ago..great guy). But my v2 takes a while for the handshake....whereas my v1 extfull HD converter, and even the older VIM HD card are almost instantaneous. I have a Pioneer VSX 1018Ah AVR. My v2 is still under warranty, but I thought I'd try something different.
My current plan is to get a V3 VIM HD card for my 8500, and remove the VIM HD (which never got used...I like having a Plan B ). I'll keep my RGBHV input card, since I have ONE source (MyHD PC HD OTA Tuner card) that outputs RGB. If the DVI daughter card were still available for that, I could go TOTALLY digital into the Marquee via HDMI.
The way I see it, with the V3 VIM HD, I'll continue to get all the image improvements the v2 extfull HD brought into the mix, PLUS bypass the quirk that limits my refresh to 60Hz on the v2...and possibly eliminate the slow linking issue. And I'll also have the v2 extfull HD (& VIM HD) as backups in case I have any issues with the v3 down the road....and need my HD fix
I can wait until Moome returns to order (I read he may be out for a week or so)..assuming some v3s for the M8500 are still available; there's no rush.
Just let me know.

Hi Mike,
Moome's 2 month sale ended 4 days ago. Moome sets the prices so if you like, you can email him and ask (moome@curtpalme.com). I can't change the prices for him.
I don't think the card auto-detects which input is active. You have to manually switch with the 1 and 2 keys on the remote.
They ship directly from him so he keeps tabs on the stock. If he's sold out he lets us know and I post that there may be a delay with the orders.
Kal
