I have offered to buy her a sewing machine many times over the years. She offers a response as if I asked her to street-walk for a 3rd income.

Now that I know, the cost-impression changes. Still, I would like to see a sample of this before I run out to buy enough material to cover half my upcoming their room (~520 SqFt of wall & ceiling surface area). |
Dear Wan Man;
I will mail you a small sample when I get the roll (or whatever part of the roll I get).
William

Yeah, I knew that. Hopefully you didn't feel I was poking fun at your expense. Just a silly mood.

Link Posted: Mon Nov 24, 2008 3:04 pm Post subject: The Material Is In The House |
|
|
Dear All;
The Flockstar light control roll of material is in the house. The previous owner had sold 20 yards of the material earlier this week. Today I paid for and picked up the other 80 yards. (The previous owner only lived an hour and a half away.) I need 20 yards for my Home Theater. That leaves a maximum of 60 yards (180 feet) available for you guys. The table below summarizes who has spoken for what. It is now time to confirm what you want, and to Paypal me the funds.
Person of Interest/Length/Material Cost
Gary Fritz/8'/$28.80
Athanasios /13'/$46.80
Ecrabb/?/$?
Kal/10'/$36.00
larryk/20'/$72.00
VideoGrabber/10'/$36.00
keldor/8'/$28.80
Clarence/?/?
Kevin D/10'/$36.00
AnalogRocks/20'/$72.00
Galen/30'/$108.00
Ecrabb, if you would like some, now is the time to state how much. Clarence, please specify the size of the chunk you want. Kal and VideoGrabber, please tell me if you would like 10 feet or 20 feet each.
Material cost is $3.6 x length in feet. Total cost is material cost + shipping.
I would to request payment, now, via Paypal (maplecroft@verizon.net) for the material cost (not the shipping cost). Please provide your mailing address with payment. As I receive payment, I will tube up the material, mail it, let each of you know how much the mailing cost was, and request payment for the mailing costs, again via Paypal. Clarence, you are welcome to come down and pick up your chunk, or I will mail it to you if you prefer.
William

I'd like to get 15' if you are still taking orders. Timing is great on this.

Hi Bill;
Long time no hear. I still have 50 feet available, so you may have 15 feet of it if you would like. Please paypal me $54.00 to maplecroft@verizon.net. Like Clarence, you have the option to just drive by and pick the material up. I am off all this week, so any day would be fine. Besides, it would give me an excuse to show off the Home Theater. On the other hand, if you prefer, I can mail the material to you.
William

We're leaving for NC on Wednesday (real early!). I'd be glad to come by and pick it up and see how things are going. Let me see if I can clear some time tomorrow.

William | We actually drove by your house yesterday... we were invited to a friend's school play at Notre Dame Academy. We took the scenic route home.
I'll let everyone else have dibs first... it sounds perfect for frame borders, but I'm more interested in trying the photo backdrop, but I'm not sure how I'd do that with 2.5' width. But I'll check back after Thanksgiving to check out your HT treatments.

There are 18 feet left at this point. I have been cutting material as people have paid. First to pay gets part or all of the 18 feet left.

|
|
Over the Thanksgiving week, 3 of us (myself, my youngest son and his grandfather) put up 30 yards of the Flockstar material in the Home Theater. Three lengths of 10 yards (each side wall is 7.5' high, with the ceiling 15' wide) were installed over parts of 2 days. We started from each corner behind the screen, and worked our way out. Boy this stuff is dark. The 12' wide image on the screen looks like it is suspended in air. Absolute black all around the image!!! Neat upgrade to the HT.
Thanks to everyone who purchased the material I did not use, and helped to keep my cost reasonable. I hope this stuff will be as useful to you as it has been to me.
William
