Sorry please bear with me, new to forums and certainly to some of the technical aspects of Home Theatre.
New Zealand is about to get HD broadcasting switched on (finally) via SKY TV (up to 1080p if you monitor is capable) at the end of the month. I currently have a Panasonic Vera TV that has a HDMI input but is not HDCP. HD content will only be available via HDMI with HDCP.

I have been reading through the forum looking at options that will enable me to view HD, either with a HD Fury and Box 1020 to component output or EXT-FULL HD. It appears EXT-FULL HD would be the way to go but just want to make sure. The TV PC Input is a High-density D-Sub 15 pin with input resolutions of 640 x 480, 852 x 480 , 1024 x 768 and 1366 x 768 with horizontal scanning 31 - 69khz and vertical 59 - 86hz.

Scanning formats are 480i, 480p 567i 576p 720p, 1080i

Would truly appreciate any help I can get

Actually if your display already has a digital HDMI or DVI input that doesn't support HDCP then your best (and likely cheapest) option is Moome's MUX-HD

This way you stay in the digital domain for the best image quality.

I'm surprised that your TV has an HDMI input but isn't HDCP compatible, especially from a big name brand like Panasonic. Some displays existed that had HDMI but no HDCP but they were rare. Are you sure it doesn't support HDCP? Are you sure it's an HDMI input?

I'm also a newbie to this site, so please excuse any redundancy. My Sony KDF-R50XBR1 is no longer HDCP compliant over HDMI. I've had a technician over numerous times replacing this and that and he can't seem to resolve the problem, likely because he's having trouble understanding the problem. I have a Sony PS3 and a Sony upscaling DVD player that will no longer broadcast any audio or video over HDMI on this set. I have an Xbox360 that displays perfectly via HDMI when navigating the dashboard or playing games, but as soon as I attempt playback of a DVD or HD-DVD the screen goes to a generic Xbox logo screen with a message stating, "Secure HDCP link not found." I can tell the tech is still completely lost so I doubt this issue will be resolved. Will the device mentioned in the prior post resolve my problem? In other words will I again be able to enjoy my PS3 on this television again as I once did?

The HDMI does indeed still work. It's just that anytime an HDCP link is required by a connected device, it cannot establish one. Everything worked perfectly for nearly two years with the same setup and cables until one day it just stopped. It's acting as if my tv is not an HDCP enabled set.

Perhaps there's an EEPROM in your set with the HDCP keys and it or one of the circuits between it and the HDMI processor has failed.

I suppose. The tech already replaced the ASU board and the PD Mount to no avail. He was under the assumption the PD mount contained the necessary hardware that managed HDCP.
