Does anyone know if the HD-Fury will pass PAL signals.

I am looking to use a new A/V receiver to replace my current Faroudja NRS scaler, and will run HDMI from the A/V receiver to my projector with the HD-Fury at the projector. Most of my viewing is BluRay or NTSC DVD. However with my current RGBHV based set up, I also watch the occasional PAL DVD on my multi-region DVD player.

So assuming the A/V receiver will upscale a PAL SD signal to the HDMI output, I am wondering if the HD-Fury will properly translate that to a PAL RGB signal for the projector.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I can't say for sure whether the HD Fury handles PAL (I imagine it would, though), but it doesn't matter. If your receiver is upscaling PAL to 720p for instance, the HD Fury will never see the PAL signal - it'll see the upscaled version which isn't PAL anymore - it's 720p. What you want to do should work just fine.

Yes, no problem with PAL DVD or PAL HDDvD.
