Gonna hold off on this as I don't think most people use it... we'll see. I'll add it to the list however.

UK ENGLISH PLEASE !!!!!

Just in case anyone else has the problem I have had in the last few days....

I could not log onto the forum - all others were fine just not this one...

sorted it (thank you Kal) from within the explorer window, tools, internet options, delete all temp cookies - that worked fine.

I did try a manual delete but must have missed one or two.....

Anyway, glad to be back here.

Words to add:

Ruin
Flat

Y'all

I actually would use it if it were available. What I would like to know is if there is a php-based free spellchecker available for those setting up their own phpBB forums. I always took the lack of a spellchecker to be the lack of free software available.

Best place to check for free phpBB mods is:

www.phpbb.com
www.phpbbhacks.com

If they don't have a free spell checker there, it doesn't exist for phpbb!

A quick search came up with this one:

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=208855

No idea how well it integrates into other mods though...

Spellcheck is no fun. For example, the problem with aviators on avs wouldn't exist Smile

I've always found that the people that use spell check are the ones that need it the least.

The ones that are sloppy with their writing to begin with never want to spend the extra 10 seconds to make sure their spelling is correct. Smile

What I did was to install the Google toolbar, using textless buttons, and reducing the options that are turned on to nothing but pop-up blocker and spellchecker. Works for any form-based web code. It also allows you to add to the resident dictionary.
